The Wilmington Minority Professional Networking Group (WMPNG) was formed in 2005. The WMPNG was started to address the challenges facing Wilmington’s Minority professionals. The organization is dedicated to bringing together diverse people who live and work in Wilmington, N.C., and share similar backgrounds and experiences for personal and professional awareness, interaction, and development.

The Mission of the WMPNG is "To strengthen the networking opportunities for minority professionals working in the Wilmington area, thus providing people with similar backgrounds and experiences opportunities for personal and professional awareness, interaction, and development. To expose minority professionals to local business leaders, to improve Wilmington through community service and involvement, and to attract and retain minority professionals in Wilmington."

In support of one of our five core service platforms, the Non-Traditional Entrepreneur, our Special Guest, Fran Scarlett - Regional Director of the Small Business Technology Development Center at UNCW, will highlight the (mostly free!) services her office provides to small and mid-sized companies - from start-ups to existing businesses. We are pleased to partner with UNCW and SBTDC for this must-attend event for Entrepreneurs and aspiring Entrepreneurs!
